Genius Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH specializes in custom solutions for modern fire fighting.
We develop special extinguishing concepts as well as modern fire prevention measures and plan new system applications. In recent years, we have acquired core competencies in the areas of preventive and defensive fire protection, innovative extinguishing agents and fire retardants, energy storage devices (lithium-ion batteries) and the implementation of special solutions.
Research and development and the subsequent approval process also involves working together with the relevant institutions or organizations (BAM, MPA, Fraunhofer Institute, etc.) and jointly develop application solutions. An essential core element of innovative solutions is developed method’s the environmental sustainability. Raising public awareness of the environmental sustainability of extinguishing methods and the desire of users for system solutions regarding the reusability of extinguishing agents at close to 100% are a milestone in the development of such systems and a fundamental step in the implementation and installation of fire protection systems.
The customer benefit is obvious because the option of an environmentally friendly fire extinguishing and a preventive system application offers the user considerable savings potential regarding installation, maintenance and the insurance premiums. In case of a fire, a high degree of reliability is ensured and operational interruptions and production downtimes prevented since any consequential damage, as with the conventional use of water (water extinguishing) or foam (foam extinguishing), is precluded. The PyroBubbles® extinguishing agent is also mostly reusable after extinguishing a fire (based on the fire load).
Scientific Advisory Board, Research & Development
We have founded a scientific advisory board. The advisory board’s role is to advise management completely independently in all aspects of scientific research and development, but also in fundamental technical issues. Prof. Ulrich Krause, Dr. Hans-Jochen Rodner and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Wolfgang Rehak (e.g. German Technologies Center e.V., European Aviation Security Center e.V.) are members of this advisory board.
As part of our research & development, we work, for example, with the following institutions and networks: Opto Transmitter Environmental Protection Technology eV (OUT eV), Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde (FH), Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus (BTU), Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), etc.
