Cookies

a) Session cookies

The website uses cookies — small text files placed on your device by the browser — to enable features such as language selection and the shopping cart.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related processing; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for legitimate interest in improving functionality. Session cookies are deleted when the browser closes.

b) Third-party cookies

The website uses partner cookies for advertising, analysis, and functionality purposes.

c) Opt-out

You may prevent or restrict cookies through your browser settings. Restricting cookies may limit website functionality. Flash cookies require separate Flash-Player configuration.

Contact requests

Data provided via contact forms or email is used to process inquiries. The data you provide is necessary for processing and answering your inquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data is deleted once requests are conclusively answered, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics analyses user behaviour. Provider: Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in analysis, optimisation, and economical operation. We use Google's IP-anonymisation function, which shortens the IP address while it is still in the EU or EEA. You may install Google's opt-out browser add-on to prevent transmission to Google Analytics.

Google Maps

Google Maps displays locations and generates route descriptions. Provider: Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA.

A connection to Google's servers is established when the website loads. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in the optimisation of the functions provided. When you interact with Google Maps, Google saves a cookie on your device. You may prevent cookies through your browser settings.

Facebook social plug-in

The website incorporates Facebook's social plug-in. Provider: Facebook Inc., Palo Alto, CA, USA; EU operations handled by Facebook Ireland Ltd.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in improving the quality of our website. When pages with the plug-in load, the browser downloads content from Facebook's servers. Facebook processes your IP address, visit date, and time. If you are logged into Facebook, the collected information may be associated with your account. You may prevent this by logging out or using browser add-ons to block the plug-in.

Twitter / X social plug-in

The website includes the Twitter / X social plug-in. Provider: Twitter Inc., San Francisco, CA, USA.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in improving the quality of our website. When pages with the plug-in load, the browser downloads content from Twitter's servers. Twitter processes your IP address, visit date, and time. Logged-in users' information may be associated with their account. You may prevent this by logging out or adjusting account settings.

YouTube

YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, San Bruno, CA, USA — a subsidiary of Google LLC. The website uses YouTube's "Advanced Data Protection Mode", which only transfers data to YouTube servers when you play a video.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in improving the quality of our website. Without Advanced Data Protection Mode, a connection to YouTube's servers occurs as soon as pages with embedded videos load. YouTube records IP addresses and visit timestamps, and may associate connection information with logged-in YouTube accounts. YouTube saves cookies for functionality and usage analysis. You may prevent cookies through your browser settings.

Online job applications

Applicant information is collected and processed to handle job applications. Legal basis: § 26(1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88(1) GDPR.

If an employment contract is concluded, application data is stored in personnel files for usual organisational and administrative purposes under the same legal basis.

Upon rejection, data is automatically deleted two months after the notification, unless statutory provisions require extended storage of up to four months (e.g. under the General Equal Treatment Act or pending judicial proceedings). Legal basis for extended retention: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 24(1) No. 2 BDSG — legitimate interest in legal defence and enforcement.

Where you expressly consent to longer storage for applicant or prospect databases, processing is based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may revoke consent at any time per Art. 7(3) GDPR.
