PyroBubbles® Pure M is a modern silica-based fire extinguishing granule specifically developed for challenging fire scenarios. Features of PyroBubbles® in PP Refill Bags
PyroBubbles® Pure M is approved for Fire Class D and is therefore ideal for metal fires. The average particle size of 2–6 mm ensures even coverage of the fire source. The material is water-repellent, durable, and can be partially reused, depending on the application. The practical, dust-free PP bags make handling PyroBubbles very easy. The bags can also be refilled as needed!
Physical characteristics of PyroBubbles®
Thanks to its structure, it absorbs electrolytes, acts as an electrical insulator, and has very low thermal conductivity. This makes it ideal as a versatile safety and protective material.
Extinguishing Mechanism and Effect
PyroBubbles® Pure M remains stable at temperatures up to approximately 900°C. In the event of a fire, the granules melt and form a closed, insulating layer over the source of the fire. This barrier deprives the fire of the oxygen it needs and prevents the escape of flammable reaction gases, which are trapped within the material’s porous structure. The high heat capacity ensures a significant reduction in temperature, while the low thermal conductivity protects surrounding materials. This makes PyroBubbles® Pure M a reliable solution for the safe extinguishing of metal fires.
