Effective silica-based fire extinguishing granules for complex fire risks
PyroBubbles® Premium is an innovative fire-extinguishing granulate made from high-purity silica—a material also used in glass manufacturing. Thanks to its unique structure, the granulate delivers impressive fire-extinguishing performance, even in situations where conventional extinguishing agents like water reach their limits or would cause additional damage. PyroBubbles® really show their strength in liquid fires: fires can be smothered quickly, safely, and without the risk of reignition.

PyroBubbles® Premium wurden von der MPA Dresden erfolgreich geprüft und ist für die Brandklassen A, B, D und F zugelassen. Mit einer Dichte von nur etwa 235 kg/m³ ist das Granulat deutlich leichter als Sand.
Physical characteristics of PyroBubbles®
The particle size ranges from 0.5 to 5 mm—ideal for evenly covering the source of the fire. The material is water-repellent, durable, and can be partially reused depending on the application. In addition, it absorbs electrolytes, provides electrical insulation, and has very low thermal conductivity, making it a versatile safety material
Extinguishing Mechanism and Effect
PyroBubbles® Premium remains stable at temperatures of up to approximately 1050°C. In the event of a fire, the granules melt and form a closed, insulating layer over the source of the fire. This barrier deprives the fire of oxygen and prevents the escape of flammable reaction gases, which are trapped within the material’s porous structure.
