Packaging methods
The required level of safety (thickness of the layer of PyroBubbles®) is based on the cell chemistry, the mass and the condition of the batteries. The system is designed to provide an easy filling and emptying process. Three different packaging concepts are offered for the safety containers – Basic, Advanced and Premium:
To provide easy handling, the Basic and Premium versions use pads. These pads are enveloped in a thin, needled polyethylene (PE) film and filled with PyroBubbles®. When a critical situation arises, the film disintegrates and the PyroBubbles® extinguishing agent unfolds its full effect.
The powder-coated steel basket (Advanced and Premium) ensures that the minimum safety distances between the batteries and the outside of the container and the floor are maintained, so that an optimal level of safety is provided at all times. It is permeable to any leaking electrolyte.
In the Advanced version, the batteries can be easily removed with the basket, while the PyroBubbles® remain in the box.
